Wow, they are wild looking! Are they tame or do they try to sting if you get too close? I've never kept scorps or tarantulas before

Well neither. They are very skittish, like i've touched them before and they freak out, and I have been stung but they arn't aggressive. Very easy to care for, I just put water in their dish once a week and feed each of them 2 crix once every 2 weeks.

Neat. They are cool looking and all, but I have to admit that I don't see myself owning any in the future. Very Happy They just are not for me, haha

What substrate are you using? Looks like a mixture of sand and something else. I assume this would vary based on what species you are keeping

Sand and dried peat moss I believe? I've had them for so long I nearly forgot... But I just dried the substrate and mixed it together. For Vittatus it should be like this because I found them in West Texas (dry of course) but yes it varies.
