| Today it was about 75degrees, 80 yesterday and it was amazing what was out. I saw at least 3 P. Exclamans, 2 P. Metricus, Maybe 1 Annularis and I saw my beloved P. Carolina which got away before I could capture her. | |

| Darn about the queen getting away!
There will be others though. Try looking on their favorite blooms.
Let us know when you get one. Carolina has always been a species I admire. | |

| Will do. I just wonder how they would do in captivity. I've never heard of anyone keeping them. | |

| Vespidgirl keeps that species. Here is what she had to say: "I've kept Polistes carolina probably more times than any wasp except maybe exclamans. They have a good temperament, and are very calm." I will direct her to this site and maybe she could help us get it going a little more. And be sure to update us when you catch a queen | |
